DIY Bracelet-Beading/Wrapping
I've been making jewelry for a while now, and everyone always wants a piece! At my last girls night I gave each lady a little favor that included a gold or silver bangle, about a foot and a half of beading wire (about 22 gauge), 20-30 glass beads, and a fun little signature bead! We did a brief demo and the girls were off! They all made their own beautiful pieces and so can you!
Again... here is what you will need:
Bangle Bracelet
Beading Wire- The higher the gauge, the thinner the wire is. I recommend starting off with a thicker wire because it will force you to pull tighter and get your hands ready for some serious wrapping!
Beads!!! You want a medium size bead, about the same width as your bangle. We used glass beads.
Signature Bead or Charm
Pliers or beading tool
Once you have all your materials take about an inch of your wire and line it up to your bangle
Wrap the inch of wire around the bangle tightly. Use your tool to secure the very end of the wire down so that it is not upright where it can cut or scrape.
With the additional wire, string your first bead, then wrap the wire around the bangle twice before stringing the next bead.
Repeat this step. You can either do a section of the bangle like I did in this demo, or you can go all the way around. Once you have all the beads on that you want, cut the wire so you have about an inch left.
String on your signature bead, and wrap the remaining wire then secure with your tool! Wooolaa!
