DIY Wedding Binder

Putting Together Your Very Own Wedding Planning Binder
  1. The Basics — Color swatches, timeline, checklists, and vendor contact list. The Knot has a great master checklist you can use here.
  2. Inspiration — Images that inspire from online or in a magazine. Clip/print it and place it here, in style board form. It’s really nice to have one place where you can start to form your vision. Pinterest also is the perfect place to build these boards as well as polyvore!
  3. Bridal Party Attire — Receipt for your dress and accessories, along with all the details of the ‘maids dresses and the guy’s tuxes, including quotes and coupons from multiple tux rental places. If you haven’t found a dress yet, this is a good place to store photos of ones you like.
  4. Ceremony & Reception Venue — If you're having everything in one place, you may only need one tab. If you have multiple venue's it may be a good idea to split this one up. Keep record of the following: floor plan, contracts and details.
  5. Menu & Bar-- All menu details, selections, serve times, etc. Breakdown of your bar- if you're stocking your own bar include your shopping list.
  6. Rentals — Linen, Tent, Chair... any and all rental items. Once committed to a certain vendor, remove the other quotes and make this a place for receipts and other related information.
  7. Flowers & Decor — Floral quotes and images of centerpieces, ceremony flowers, and additional decor items.
  8. Photography — Contract, photographer’s pricing and information, list of "must have photos".
  9. Entertainment — Info on DJs, bands, etc. Up-date with a signed DJ contract and an ongoing list of songs for your must-play list.
  10. Guests — Room block, seating, favors, Welcome Bags, Transportation info, etc.
