DIY Block Letters
Once I finished the mantel I felt like it was missing something! Here's a little DIY Block Letter tutorial that you can customize to use throughout the year!
Here's what you need:
1. Wooden Blocks
2. Paint
3. Stencils
4. Paint Brush or Sponge Brush
Mini plastic cups from the Dollar Store are great for paint
Paint all of your blocks on all sides and let them dry completely. If the blocks have rough edges you may need to sand them prior to painting.
While I waited for the blocks to dry, I brainstormed the various words and symbols I could paint on the multiple sides of the blocks for various holidays and seasons!
Secure your stencils, these stencils from Martha Stewart are great because they have adhesive on the back and are still washable! Get it here!
The less paint the less likely it will smudge! Lightly tap and then peal off! Let each block dry and repeat until each side of the block is complete with a letter.
Now you have created multiple block words to decorate with throughout the year!
